Bubble Mart Phenomenal Top Stream: LABUBU Elf Troupe
Design Essence
LABUBU is created by Hong Kong artist Lung Ka-sing, inspired by the forest elves of Norse mythology. Its iconic pointed ears, fangs and rebellious smile, combined with the aesthetics of “ugly and cute” contrast - the plush touch is soft and healing, but the expression is full of untamed tension, which is regarded as “the antidote for adults' emotions” by Generation Z. The new series of ‘LABUBU’ in 2025 is “The Elves of Bubble Mart”. “In 2025, the new series of ”Weird Taste Convenience Store" (in the shape of fried shrimp and potato chips) was sold out in 10 minutes on the Internet, and the second-hand premium soared to 40 times.

Global frenzy
Crazy events: police intervened in South Korea after a fight broke out in a store due to consumers queuing up overnight, forcing Bubble Mart to suspend offline sales; a “Labubu riot” broke out in a shopping mall in London, England, and security guards were ineffective in stopping the riot.
Collections: On June 10th, Beijing Forever Auction, the first generation of mint-colored Labubu was sold for 1.08 million RMB, setting a new auction record for trendy toys.
Celebrities with goods: Rihanna hand-carrying LABUBU pendant with Hermes bag street shooting, detonated within 24 hours of the global imitation tide; South Korean girl group members private photos of the sun single received 2.3 million likes, directly triggered the Seoul rush.
Cultural Symbolism
LABUBU has gone beyond toys to become a globalized social currency:
Emotional connection: fans vent their pressure through its grotesque image, forming the topic of “#UglyMengCure” in social media, with more than 1.8 billion times of playback on Jittery Voice.
Identity: Collection of hidden models = status symbol of the circle, second-hand trading, changing the baby to create a new type of community culture.
Chinese IP overseas: JP Morgan said it “stepped on Hello Kitty's footprints to reach the top”, rewriting the pattern of the European and American trendy toy market.
Collector's Voice:
“It's like a sugar-coated bomb - a plush exterior wrapped in a rebellious soul, and in your hand, a gentle weapon against the banality of life.”
